Microsoft Corporation Director, Change Management, SBO, Business Excellence & Operations in Cambridge, Massachusetts
This Change Management Leader role requires an inclusive, collaborative professional who will leverage their change management experience, influencing successfully in a highly matrixed environment, empowering our field organizations.
Shared Business Operations (SBO), within Business Excellence & Operations (BEO), drives modernization of core operational capabilities that enables Microsoft Cross-Industry Solutions (XIS) to compete effectively, enabling agility and trusted experiences that continuously meet the needs of our customers, partners, and colleagues.
As the Director, Change Management , you will drive behavioral, process and systems changes to our XIS organization by leading the change strategy, planning and execution of change management for complex strategic programs, facilitating interaction between internal operations teams, delivery teams and impacted field audiences.
You will be responsible for consulting with field and HQ leaders across Microsoft XIS, and with other change leaders, focusing on defining and driving future state for the Change Management team in alignment with Microsoft and XIS strategy. You will seek to understand business requirements, constraints, and aspirations and in return identify the best means to achieve those aspirations through quality change management practices and through use of the Prosci® Change Management methodology.
Change Strategy and Execution: Effective change management for a portfolio of behavioral, process and systems change programs.
Using proven Prosci® ADKAR methodology, standard process, and templates, you will develop customized change management strategies.
Coordinate across multiple teams to facilitate capture of detailed change data for all impacted audiences.
Monitor and review change adoption and implement resistance mitigation and reinforcement strategies.
Collaboration: Engage with field partners to gain insight into pain points and feedback and facilitate discussions to feed that into process and tool improvement initiatives. Partner with your key stakeholders in HQ, field-based aligned leadership teams, Operations teams, and other field focused teams to drive changes in the relevant organizations.
Stakeholder Management: Build relationships and collaborate with business partners across the entire company. Ensure that business issues, concerns and priorities are well understood. Understand business priorities and related SBO roadmaps and provide visibility to field teams.
Frameworks and standards: Work with the SBO Change Management team to establish and evolve solid frameworks and standards for change management.
12+ years of experience in IT, operations, business management and/or consulting
Hands-on experience in driving change in large scale, matrix environments, with Prosci® or other Change Management methodologies
Proven experience leading and influencing virtual and matrixed teams.
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills at all levels in an organization.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence change.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
University or Bachelors’ degree or higher qualification in change management, computer science, operations, business administration, or equivalent
Highly skilled and experienced in Business Operations, with an extensive track record of success leading large initiatives and driving collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
Strong understanding of the professionals services organization and operations, at all levels
Location/Travel: This position is not location specific but does necessitate common working hours with PST. You can expect limited global travel, ranging from 0 – 25%, contingent upon Covid-19 restrictions.
