Philips Director of Business Continuity and Resilience Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts

In this role, you have the opportunity to

Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Business Continuity Management program for a global medical device manufacturer. The primary objectives of this position are to establish and maintain BCM across the enterprise aligned to best practices, industry standards and regulatory requirements, lead a team of Global Business Continuity officers dedicated to the development, maintenance and testing of BCM plans and procedures, and ensure the organization can continue the delivery of products and services to our customers at acceptable predefined levels following a disruptive event.

The Director of Business Continuity Management & Resilience will work closely with top management to align on the strategic objectives, key deliverables and develop an integrated Operational resilience framework in line with the organization's risk appetite and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 22301).

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the business continuity framework, regulatory compliance responsibilities, experience with technology to automate planning activities and have knowledge of effective strategies for continuous monitoring and program improvement. This individual will serve as a point of contract for Philips internal and external audits.

You are responsible for

  • Developing and leading a high performing Global Business Continuity and Resilience

  • Maintaining the Global Business Continuity Management (BCM) Policy and ensure alignment with related policies

  • Being a trusted advisor and contributing to raising operational risk and business continuity awareness through the organization

  • Maintaining relations with representatives from related disciplines (e.g. ERM, Information security, Group crisis management etc.) to ensure alignment

  • Providing regular BCM program status and continuity risk updates and insights to the key stakeholders

  • Providing support to all business units on all aspects of business continuity planning, including but not limited to business impact analysis, recovery plan development, compliance standards, definition of critical functions, plan testing, recovery strategies and options

  • Directing the maintenance and continuous improvement of the software and tools used to support business continuity activities

  • Ensuring the central Integrated Resilience platform (Fusion + Everbridge) is maintained so it can support 24/7/365 early warning management and operational risk identification, triage and communication as necessary

  • Contributing to overall supply chain strategy, top ISC risk identification and action plans for improved resilience

  • Following BCM developments in the market and determining relevance for Philips

You are part of

The Global Integrated Supply Chain organization, reporting to the VP, Integrated Supply Chain Strategy.

This organization support the entire Philips Enterprise in the deployment of BCM.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree is preferred)

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in business continuity planning, enterprise operational and IT risk management, crisis management, compliance or similar fields

  • People Management experience is required: 5+ years (direct / indirect)

  • Formal Business Continuity training & certification(s)

  • Certified Audit and /or Risk management experience in a large global enterprise

  • Regulatory Experience

  • Knowledge of BCM standards and recommendations from leading BCP bodies and ISO standards, especially ISO22301,31000,22313,27031)

  • Global business experience in manufacturing and supply chain

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects concurrently

  • Proven ability to identify, analyze gaps and propose solutions

  • Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate productive relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders and align on a common goal
