Job Description
DIRECTOR, TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT, Alumni Association (MITAA)-Technical Project Management Team, to lead technical project managers who collaborate Association-wide to develop products and services designed to increase alumni and donor engagement. Will develop customer-first experiences and seek to improve efficiencies within existing systems and processes; and be responsible for all related project management documentation--including product specifications and user documentation--and quality assurance testing, product evaluation, and benchmarking.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; seven years’ technical project management experience, including consulting, evaluating, and developing web-based applications and working directly with end-users and developers; three years’ experience supervising, managing performance, and leading teams toward goal fulfillment; experience managing budgets in a position requiring independent planning and efficient utilization of time and resources; experience building a work environment that advances diversity and inclusion, celebrates achievements, and encourages teamwork; excellent organizational, facilitation, interpersonal, negotiation, writing, training, presentation, quantitative, analytical, and requirements-gathering skills; sound judgment with confidential/sensitive information; knowledge of basic database structure, usability, and user interface issues; experience making technical information user-friendly; proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Word, Excel, FileMaker, PowerPoint, Ellucian Advance Web, Salesforce, Drupal, and community building software; and project management professional certification. Seek a self-starter who is able to approach projects strategically and make data-based decisions; interact effectively with senior leadership, constituents, Institute colleagues, and providers/vendors; respond quickly to changing business needs/priorities; lead and work as part of cross-functional teams in a customer service-oriented environment; and handle a large volume of diverse tasks/projects concurrently, with attention to detail and quality.
