Manages resource utilization, planning, and allocation of staffing needs for projects. Includes offshore resources.

Responsible for coordinating the placement of consultants on client and internal assignments to result in the highest utilization and margin percentage results. Responsible for tracking the training, skill profiles, and resumes for consultants. May also be responsible for profiling available external resources to fit project demand and budget. External sources include offshore, nearshore, and contractors. Strong understanding of the tools available to be able to provide statistical trend data in terms of utilization, project staffing mix of resources, ADR, open specifications, etc, as needed for management.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The WFM Director will play a pivotal role evolving and delivering the organization s supply and demand management capabilities and results. This is a senior leadership role within the OCS organization responsible for (in a highly entrepreneurial manner) raising the bar across the department. S/he is responsible for driving new workforce management practices and tools to optimize staffing models, skills inventory management and alignment, and ensuring they are implemented effectively and creating value for clients and the organization. This is a unique opportunity to engage and transform the organization cross-functionally. S/he will bring extensive experience driving efficiency and effective staffing models for large teams (500 ). S/he will be responsible for partnering with leaders across the organization to significantly accelerate the growth of the business, drive revenue target achievement, reduce costs, disrupt standard processes, and exceed team member and client expectations.


Specific responsibilities:

Provides strategic direction for the NAAC workforce planning function.

Defines, implements, and manages workforce methodology and activities.

Works closely with Finance, Operations, and HR to develop and maintain staffing model(s).

Maintains a current inventory of department employee skills, supply of those skills, and associated demands.

Drives efficiency by proactively managing supply and demand forecast, actuals, and building low cost staffing models.

Provides regular status reporting and forecasts to leadership.

Implement and optimize WFM tool set.

Hire and lead only the best talent to ensure continuity and optimized staffing practices.

The Director will be measured on the following business metrics (to be set as a part of FY planning):

  • Cost to implement - reducing costs via optimized staffing models.

  • Utilization / chargeability - maximizing utilization by minimizing bench time.

  • Revenue target to actual attainment - ensure estimators are accurate and the project is modeled correctly to execute with precision.

  • Time to implement - reduce delivery schedule by ensuring optimal resources are allocated at the right times.
