About the role:
The Data Management and Innovation role is a core position as part of the Enterprise Data Services team responsible for working within the EDS team across all capability pillars and close partnership with internal constituent groups to determine the data management processes and technical solutions to managing data as a strategy asset for Takeda. Join Takeda as a Head of Enterprise Data Management and Innovation where you will manage the data acquisition strategy, to the functional oversight of data processing, data quality, master data management, data cataloging and data lifecycle management. You will also lead your team to create new processes, new technologies and capabilities in response to the needs of your core team members to support their digital transformations. As part of the EDS Team, you will report directly to the Head of Enterprise Data Services, Chief Data Officer.
How you will contribute:
Design, build and drive overall Takeda strategy, methodology and roadmap for the processes, systems, tools and capabilities required to manage our core data assets
Responsible for enterprise data architecture reviews of our end-end integrated environments
Design and delivery of our Corporate MDM, Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Catalog and Data Marketplace technical solutions.
Support the Data Governance Office and Domain teams thru the execution of an innovation, robust, scalable and sustainable data quality framework and technologies. Deploy best in class solutions and automation to support the overall data governance strategy.
Collaborate with external providers (technology, data and services) in developing a robust and agile data architecture, platforms and tooling capabilities (consistency, integrity, agility of data delivery)
Co-Design and collaborate with IT teams and federated business partners to integrate data governance and master data management workflow automations in existing and future cloud-based data and AI//ML platforms.
Collaborate with Data Governance, domain leads and business leadership to implement scalable tech-based data quality rules and scorecards that facilitates ongoing automated and business process improvements.
Promote data management, governance and quality literacy across the enterprise
Increase the overall confident and consistency of the quality of data thru automation and real-time integrations.
Optimize effectiveness and efficiently in data access and utilization.
Synthesizing the needs of key business stakeholders into clear roadmaps and execution plans
Demonstrate the ability to design, configure, engineer, integrate, implement platform components and services
Develop and execute the enterprise vision and strategy for Takeda’s data management activities and proactively drive this vision across multiple data domains. Work with key business stakeholders to develop a data acquisition strategy by domain.
Lead the design and implementation of our cloud-native data environment ensuring trusted data feeds into the analytics dashboards and feeds to our ML pipelines
Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situation
Provide guidance and education around enterprise data system architecture, technology considerations and roadmaps to the business to ensure a successful delivery and migration path to leverage best in breed data solutions
Deliver the next gen Data Marketplace that provides a superior user experience shopping and subscribing to data channels
Partner with technology groups to develop & maintain inventory of the information maps, including authoritative systems, owners
Assesses, manages, and maintains strategies to reduce data redundancy, increasing the consistency, quality, and confidence of data used for decision making
Advise and influence analysts, data scientists, data engineers and BI developers on how they can access the right data to meet their needs
Assess and support emerging technologies innovation labs such as crypto and blockchain

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
A passion for solving complete system and data challenges and desire to thrive in a constantly innovating and changing environment
15+ years' experience managing technology and data driven teams focused on highly integrated and robust systems
Extensive experience in more than one deployment of data management solutions such as MDM, Data Quality, Data Catalog, Data Sourcing, Data Enrichment, Data Semantics and Data Marketplace (Realtio, Informatica, Collibra, AWS, BigID, AtScale)
Expertise with database design, integration, architecture and performance practices
Dynamic leadership of multi-disciplined team and with various priorities.
Experience as a technical expert in data engineering, data analytics, business analysis, data quality and master data management
Proven hands-on experience as a technical leader on data quality and master data management with both an on-shore, center of excellence and strategic partners
Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, presentation and customer service skills
Challenger mindset and passion to challenge status quo to find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas - loves and embraces change
Believes in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, and trust across the team
Prior experience in highly regulated Healthcare Industry/Pharma
