Serves as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for a multitude of information systems. Implements the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process as outlined under the NIST publications 800-37 & 800-53 and enforced under DAAPM/JSIG requirements. Performs technical audits of assigned information systems as well as periodic monitoring of compliance with established standards. Assist and educate users to ensure they properly handle classified media and operate the systems securely. Uses SIEM, vulnerability management, and other tools to actively correlate data and hunt threats. Ensures system is configured in accordance with required standards. Evaluates and creates artifacts which demonstrate system configuration, procedures, etc. Assist and educate users to ensure they operate the systems securely.

Due to the nature of this work, this job requires on-site presence in Cambridge, MA. Flexible hours and/or schedules will be determined between the employee and hiring manger.

Required Qualifications:

  • Successful candidate must be a US Citizen.

  • Education in the areas of cybersecurity or information technology.

  • Has either recently graduated or will soon graduate with a Masters degree in a related field.

  • Has or able to obtain required DODM 8570.01-M baseline certification (e.g. Security+) within 6 months of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using common vulnerability scanning and SIEM tools.

Security Requirement:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret personnel security clearance based on a T5 background investigation (in most cases this will mean the successful candidate will have current Top Secret eligibility) within six months of hire.

  • Due to the nature of this work, this job requires on-site presence in Cambridge, MA. Flexible hours and/or schedules will be determined between the employee and hiring manger.
