About Innovation & Advisory The Global Exchange Innovation and Advisory Services (I&AS;) business seeks a talented and energetic individual to join the Operational Excellence team. The efforts of I&AS; span from the identification of new ideas that leverage State Street’s competitive information and research advantage to the application and development of emerging technologies to help its clients make better decisions. The Operational Excellence Manager, VP, will play a lead in the operating activities that support these efforts as well as driving mission critical initiatives in risk and governance. SSGX is a strategic focus for State Street and this is an exciting time to join this dynamic and growing team. The team is small enough for talented candidates to make a notable contribution.Job Requirements Candidates will have operational, technical, project management and financial experience. The ideal candidate must be able to manage multiple, competing tasks, often working in cross functional teams in order to drive execution and meet deadlines. Candidates should have a strong track record in problem solving, identifying and managing risk, and driving process improvement. The ideal candidate must demonstrate sound judgment in prioritizing competing deliverables and escalating issues to senior management. The candidate must have strong communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver quality management reporting.

Technical Competencies
  • Sound understanding of operational functions: risk and compliance, finance, legal (contracting), sales/ marketing, and business reporting
  • Ability to create, own, and manage scalable processes to support the aforementioned functions; and systematically generate management and status reporting
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneNote), SharePoint/Nintex, SQL, Salesforce and Visio a plus
  • Understanding of Risk Excellence efforts and compliance control procedures
  • Familiarity with vendor management work streams

  • Ability to identify, resolve / remediate, and escalate gaps in operating requirements
