Principal Full-Stack Software Engineer – Application Development-Content Management

Location : PST Time Zone

Are you an Architect, Principal Engineer, Team Leader, Lead Engineer looking for an opportunity to be a technology leader and influencer? We are looking for someone to solve very critical document automation problems for Salesforce writers!

Content Experience SFDocs Team is responsible for delivering frictionless and interactive developer content experiences (http://beta.developer.salesforce.com/) for our customers who interact with our developer docs to solve their problems. We also facilitate the API lifecycle of the products by providing automated and interactive API references and a unified API catalog to our customers.

Your Impact:

  • Collaboration with other engineering teams

  • Design and code reviews

  • Hands-on coding

  • Provide technical leadership

  • Build relationships with stakeholders

  • Contribute to the vision and architecture of team and products

  • Work with Product Managers on the long-term technical solutions to content automation problems

  • Architect, design, implement, test and deliver highly scalable products.

  • Master our development process, culture and code base, then improve it.

  • Operate effectively in the hybrid engineering model where engineers are expected to be able to design and execute the necessary work to ensure quality in their own code as well as other engineers'.

  • Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes

  • Present your own designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others

  • Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics.

Basic Requirements:

  • 15+ years experience in development as Full-stack Engineer

  • Excellent communication Skills

  • Very strong design and architecting skills

  • Solid quality and scaling focus

  • Ability to partner and collaborate with multiple teams

  • Flexibility to work with global engineering teams

  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience

  • Deep knowledge of object oriented programming and experience with at least one object oriented programming language (Java, Javascript, C++, C#, Ruby, Python)

  • High proficiency in at least one high-level programming language and web framework (NodeJS, Express, Hapi, etc.)

  • Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, JSON, and/or Ajax

  • Solid understanding of Database technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL and relational database schema design

  • Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing using Java, JUnit, JSUnit, Selenium

Preferred Requirements:

  • Salesforce Platform

  • Background in Content Automation

  • Master’s degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent field

  • Track record of being a top performer in current and past roles
