Responsibilities

You will be a key enabler of an engagement, leading Microsoft consultants, offshore resources, and partner staff through successful delivery. With your passion, you will motivate others and yourself to drive the vision of changing the world to a better one through the power of productivity. With your spirit and your ideas, you will strive to be a role model and help others to understand the advantage of the latest AI-technologies. You will act as an entrepreneur and as an evangelist internally and externally and will drive the value proposition of Business Productivity with every action you take.

You will be responsible for:

  • Overall Responsibility for Project Delivery

  • Scope Management & Change Control

  • Schedule/Deliverable Management

  • Staffing/Resource Management

  • Issue and Risk Management

  • Financial Management

  • Contract Management (amendments/administration/subcontractor/invoices)

  • Status Documentation/Escalation Management

  • Executive Relationship Management

  • Project and Customer Communications Management (up/down/peers)

  • Pre-sales Activities (develop and review SOWs and cost estimates)

  • Process Improvement Initiatives and Mentoring

Qualifications

You will bring excellent project management, communication, organization, negotiation and problem-solving skills. The role requires both deep project management experience in a consulting organization and broad business and technology acumen. To become the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated ability to engage in senior level business and technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and end to end technology projects. Experience using Agile methodology and an understanding of Collaboration Messaging and Intelligent Communications.

Required:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in a military/agency or enterprise environment

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in a technical environment

  • Ability to travel 50%-70%

  • Fluent English verbal and written communications skills

Preferred:

  • Minimum of a four-year degree (MIS or Technical degree preferred)

  • PMI PMP Certified Project Manager

  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) Certified or Agile/Scrum Master Certification from industry recognized organization

NOTE: T he successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.

Clearance Verification: This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.

Location/Travel: You may be based anywhere in the United States, with a preference for the Washington, D.C., area. Travel is an integral part of the work, based on customer demand; you can expect travel to be 50 – 70%.
