About This Role:

Forrester is looking for a motivated Technical Architect who will analyze, design, and implement business technology projects within and around Salesforce platform. This role requires proficiency in configuration, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and application integration with both SaaS-based and traditionally hosted tools and systems.

  • Defines architectural practices and guidelines for the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Delivers technical designs that meet scrum project requirements and architectural guidelines.

  • Implements technical designs and works with developers, admins, and product owners.

  • Constantly balances ideal technical design with key agile tenets of satisfying the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software.

  • Collaborates across teams to solve complex design issues.

  • Ensures health and maintainability of our Salesforce instance; avoids technical debt when possible and identifies and proposes remediation where needed.

  • Drives agile development and architecture best practices.

  • BA or BS degree in computer science or master’s degree in management information systems (MIS) or computer science.

  • Five-plus years’ implementation experience, including development, across the full software development lifecycle.

  • Three-plus years of technical experience in an architect role on various complex implementations.

  • Success in guiding a development team on the appropriate use of platform technology.

  • Expertise in Apex development on Salesforce.com.

  • Background in managed package implementations, object-oriented design patterns, common integration patterns, and integration on the Lightning platform.

  • Proficiency in multiple development languages (e.g., .NET, Java, or Ruby) and design frameworks.

  • Familiarity with agile project and development lifecycle methodologies.

  • Experience with test automation and continuous integration technologies, the Salesforce.com deployment process, and source control.

  • Broad platform experience with Salesforce technologies, including communities, CPQ, order management, and marketing automation.

  • Excellent business acumen and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of large data volume considerations, risks, and mitigation strategies.

  • Understanding of data migration considerations, design tradeoffs, and common ETL tools.

  • The ability to identify and mitigate technical risks across the architecture.
