IQVIA Scaling & Development Director in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Job Overview

IQVIA’s Health Research Ecosystem (HRE) program has a developing portfolio of solutions to optimize clinical trials through the use of technology and data. The Scaling and Development Director will be responsible for growing IQVIA’s technology-enabled site networks. This role will work directly with investigative site staff to gain buy-in for the use of certain technologies to support study recruiting, and other use cases.


  • Expand technology-enabled sites, focusing on IQVIA’s close site partners Build and maintain HRE site scaling roadmap

  • Develop messaging / pitch elements and materials (e,g, decks, videos, scripts, playbook) to communicate the value proposition of HRE tech and associated data to sites; coordinate with Marketing and D&DI GTM staff where applicable.

  • Present HRE program and solutions to key site resources, working closely with Prime Site Managers, and other colleagues focused on successful site relationships.

  • Gain buy-in from sites to pilot and ultimately deploy broadly, IQVIA’s HRE solutions, working closely with Prime Site Managers, and other colleagues focused on successful site relationships.

  • Inform appropriate stakeholders on status and ongoing HRE activity with sites.

  • Drive site agreements from term sheet to execution, serving as business owner, and working closely with IQVIA Legal resourcesFor sites where agreement to implement HRE tech is eminent, onboard Operational Deployment resources and technology support resources and assure a smooth hand off as you transition to more of a customer success advocate role.

  • Serve as subject matter expert on the HRE technology and data impact on research and clinical workflows, plus the operational implications for deploying technology.

Own customer success for sites where HRE solutions are deployed.

  • Assure ongoing customer success for Sites where HRE tech and data enablement solutions are deployed:

  • Develop customer success criteria and measures for sites agreeing to deploy and use HRE technology solutions, working closely with Operational Deployment colleagues in conjunction with related proof points development.

Drive ongoing adoption of HRE solutions.

  • Champion ongoing HRE technology requirements for your regional sites.

  • Liaise with KOLs and site therapeutic teams where needed to assure site and HRE program Success.

Contribute to overall HRE program and D&DI success

  • Support business case development activities

  • Deliver regular program status reports

  • Support program strategy development and planning


  • Consulting and/or business development background

  • Skills and track record gaining buy-in from provider organizations / investigative sites; includes ability to develop and convey messaging, including value proposition to win and influence sites

  • Specific experience related to provider technology: software solutions that help clinicians and other staff at provider organizations with their daily workflows

  • Account planning and/or roadmap development experience

  • Solid understanding of technology, data science and/or machine learning concepts, with the ability to convey to non-technical audiences

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good command of the English language

  • Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics, with good judgment and ability to manage competing priorities

  • Experience presenting to varying levels of leadership, with excellent fluency in PowerPoint to support presentation needs

  • Situational management and communication

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and business stakeholders

  • Ability to support business case activities as it relates to scaling site and TA footprint

  • Knowledge of project management concepts, deliverables-driven planning

  • Roadmap development

  • Agile mindset


  • Bachelor's Degree Health care or other scientific discipline or educational equivalent

  • 7+ years relevant industry experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working directly at or with provider sites in a business development or consulting role

  • Demonstrated experience with account management or customer success initiatives

  • Demonstrated experience with initiatives that included change management and adoption of technology
