Draper’s Computer Systems Security group is hiring a Computer Scientist / Engineer for research and development in various topics related to secure computer systems design and applied computer science. The candidate will participate in all aspects of R&D, from idea to prototype development.
A candidate must hold an M.S. degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline with 3-5 years’ experience or a Ph.D with 0-2 years’ experience. in one of these fields.
Familiarity and facility with two or more of the following Computer Science topics: computer security, computer architecture, hardware/software codesign, operating systems, hypervisors, compilers, or binary instrumentation.
Experience in systems programming languages (e.g., C, C++), Assembly (e.g., x86, ARM), and low-level development is required.
Candidate should be capable of engaging in self-directed work as well as participating in a larger team.
Original thought and strong creative problem-solving skills are a must.
Experience with Linux kernel internals, seL4 microkernel, Rust language, RISC-V (ISA and implementation) is desired.
Effective written and oral communication skills are also desired.
