Philips Senior Manager Risk Management Trending and Data Analytics in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The role of Senior Manager Risk Management Trending and Data Analytics provides the opportunity to make a real difference to our employees and our customers as we add value through post market insights.

The help develop and implement mechanism and structure for active monitoring and analytics of product safety and performance signals across Philips and play a key part in driving how we turn data into insights to improve our feedback cycles.

You are responsible to

  • Create and maintain an optimal data pipeline architecture and assemble large, complex data sets that meet Post Market Analytics requirements

  • Lead projects to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using ‘big data’ technologies (SQL, Azure, AWS)

  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customers, products, and solutions and other key quality and safety performance metrics.

  • Work with stakeholders including Quality, Risk Management, Markets, and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs

  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist Center of Excellence team members that assist them in building and optimizing our post market insights

  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

  • Being part of the PMS Operations team, continuously evaluate effectiveness of overall post market processes to resolve gaps or areas for improvement and solutions to mitigate

Through timely, effective, and efficient post market data analytics, you will ensure that the voice of the customer is collected and understood. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • 5+ years of project management experience in a Data Engineer or Data Analytics role, who has attained at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.

  • Awareness or experience with the following software/tools:

  • Relational SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Data pipeline and workflow management tools

  • Data platforms (AWS cloud services, Azure, Data Lakes)

  • Data visualization and reporting tools: Tableau, Sisense, Qlik, etc.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills and experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets and experience building processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management

  • A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.

  • Working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases

  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Process excellence or green belt six sigma is preferred.
