SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER, Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE)-Center for Quantum Engineering (CQE) (https://cqe.mit.edu/) /Quanum Science and Engineering Consortium (QSEC) (https://cqe.mit.edu/qsec/) , to manage day-to-day operations, administration, and efforts to conceptualize and implement programs/initiatives that advance CQE directives for all programs associated with approximately sixty-five CQE members, fifteen QSEC members, and several U.S. government partners. Will oversee and execute communications and outreach strategy; contribute to strategic planning for operationally managing member relationships; identify and recruit new and develop existing relationships with QSEC consortia members; collaborate MIT Resource Development to connect with philanthropic donor resources; identify financial, human resources, and operations needs; collaborate on creating QSEC quarterly newsletter; manage the CQE website and QSEC member portal; plan and execute board meetings, workshops, events, etc.; facilitate interactions between QSEC members and MIT faculty/staff; develop/prepare program documentation, reporting, and presentations; and perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, quantum information science, or related STEM field; four years’ program management, administration, and/or business development experience in a complex and rapidly growing scientific environment; ability to understand complex situations and operationally implement new ideas beyond functional expertise; experience with international programs and program development in an innovative environment; flexible, proactive approach to responsibilities; expertise managing and facilitating large projects and conceiving of and executing plans to achieve specific short-term objectives; excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and oral communication skills; discretion with sensitive/confidential information; and an interest in developing plans for complex program elements and ability to manage the execution of program elements.
