Azure Global Infrastructure is looking for a passionate leader to advance Azure’s hyperscale infra growth in new markets. This leadership role is part of a dynamic and high-impact team to drive business goals of Global Expansion and Customer Promises for Commercial Azure Cloud.

In this role, you will work closely with senior-level, deep-expertise globally situated peers in Geo-Expansion, Data Center, Operations, and Software Developers to plan, coordinate, and execute complex infrastructure and cloud services-based projects. You will collaborate across the fabric of Azure, and by extension Microsoft 365, such as Compute, Network, Storage, Office 365, Cloud Operations + Innovation, Field/Sales, Supply Chain, and our key Customers.

  • Partner and engage with leadership across organizations to develop a product roadmap identifying strategic investments to enable and accelerate Azure’s infrastructure growth

  • Lead and coordinate cross-team efforts to drive engineering solutions to technical challenges and deliver quality solutions to committed schedules and project plans.

  • Partner with engineering and leadership across Azure to cultivate customer success and customer-driven development whether that is Azure customers or internal service/delivery teams

  • Provide hands-on program management during various phases of the program including day-to-day coordination of tasks.

  • Work in a fast-paced technical environment with engineering leaders across Microsoft.

  • Define and own key metrics and key quality and performance indicators.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Technical Program and/or Product Management or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience with global-/hyper-scale infrastructure design and deployment, whether data center, hardware, software, operations, security, or network/connectivity

  • Proven ability to analyze complex systems and drive solutions in collaboration with engineering teams

  • Ability to bootstrap on a given process or technology to meet deployment schedules.

  • Great problem solving, strategic thinking and technical skills.

  • Self-driven, ability to work with minimal direction, and thrives in a team environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience with a metrics-driven mindset and the ability to experiment, learn, and improve.

  • Working knowledge of Cloud computing concepts, Architecture & ability to drill down to details to help engineers & up-level to communicate to executives, as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. MS or higher preferred.

  • Working knowledge of deploying cloud infrastructure (Datacenters, Servers, Network, Services) & associated solutions in the government sector, with experience in classified environments.
