Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Azure Reliability Org’s vision is to make it easy for everyone to create, consume, and manage planetary-scale, reliable cloud production services and infrastructure to achieve more. Azure Reliability is dedicated to making, “Azure the safest and most reliable Cloud”. We are an engineering organization working horizontally across Azure to systemically lift overall platform reliability to help our customer’s experience of Azure as a whole. As a team, we bring together significant and complementary capabilities and tooling across Risk Management, Incident Lifecycle, and Site Reliability Engineering in new ways to increase Azure platform reliability.


We are looking for a Technical Program Manager who has the experience working closely with Engineering teams running multi-cloud services. Are you the Program Manager who enjoys building a framework, analyzing ‘learnings’ from incident lifecycle, and classifying top contributing factors across many cloud services? You will see to it that the learnings are aligned to influence adoption of existing production infrastructure engineering platforms and/or for that matter evolve existing engineering investments.

  • Deliver outcomes and its impact measured through Objectives and Key Results.

  • Develop and present findings and recommendations to Azure leaders.

  • Drive standardization of actionable metrics

  • Evangelism and adoption of Azure Reliability programs across hundreds of services and their engineers.


  • BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical Program/Product manager?

  • Deep understanding of engineering practices followed by large cloud services.

  • History of analyzing and distilling data into actionable insights for engineering.

  • The ability to communicate ideas effectively with executives and engineering teams.

  • Track record of problem solving and using pilot programs, prototypes and growth hacking approaches.

  • Taxonomy classification from unstructured data through Machine Learning (not needed but preferred)
