Microsoft Corporation Senior Program Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Azure Cost Management team is chartered with building capabilities that enable Azure and cross cloud customers to analyze, optimize, save and reinvest their Azure usage and spend. We are searching for a program manager who can help us achieve that by having a much more meaningful relation with our customers and drive value for them and Microsoft.

This is a senior PM role with lots of executive visibility and the opportunity for advancement. There is lots of cross group work across geographies, meeting with and engaging with Azure customers, so you’ll need to love that kind of work and be proficient at creating and maintaining warm and productive working relationships. There is a fair amount of web application and cloud services technology in this job, so a background in this in a PM or product management capacity will be needed. What’s important is that you can show empathy for customers, be sensitive to their needs and are proficient at guiding teamwork to deliver a great customer experience.


  • This role requires someone who can quickly step into a highly technical area and help design solutions and their delivery using dashboards, portals, APIs.

  • Engage with customer and partners to understand their needs and drive E2E ownership of features & API stack through its entire project lifecycle

  • Partnering with teams across Microsoft worldwide to understand the requirements and work with engineering teams on the implementation details

  • Engage with customer & partners to evangelize capabilities via meetings and social media.

  • Have a good understanding of solutions & capabilities offered by other cloud platforms


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline

  • Experience on projects building Web/Application/API services at scale

  • Domain expertise of one or more cloud providers like Azure, AWS, GCP

  • 4-7 years of program management experience

  • Knowledge of programming languages C#, Java, C++ etc. is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)
