Come work for Platform Engineering within Microsoft Digital. Our team is accountable for Microsoft’s internal SAP ERP suite of solutions running on Microsoft Azure. Platform Engineering is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the SAP Professional Services Team to deliver business capabilities on SAP for Microsoft Consulting Services and Microsoft Support Services.
The Senior Program Manager within Platform Engineering delivering SAP solutions will act as an SAP Product Owner for Commercial Project Management, Project Systems, and Project Financial capabilities within overall Order-To-Cash business processes on SAP.
The SAP Product Owner will:
Develop collaborative relationships with key business stakeholders.
Demonstrate customer obsession through regular customer interactions.
Become a subject matter expert in the business processes to identify opportunities to automate processes on SAP and accelerate business objectives through SAP solutions.
Drive results and consistently meet deliverables with aggressive timelines.
Learn and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, methods, and processes.
Make data-driven decisions through capturing business impact and deliver the right outcomes to business.
The SAP Product Owner is accountable for capturing customer pain points, gathering business requirements, prioritizing requirements, and ensuring that solutions are delivered as per requirements. The Product Owner will ensure solutions are aligned to business and technical roadmaps.
The SAP Product Owner will:
Partner with business stakeholder to define objectives and key results.
Create a vision, value proposition, and product roadmap for capabilities and enhancements to achieve business objectives.
Regularly groom business requirements, manage a product backlog, and break requirements down into features with defined acceptance criteria.
Drive the delivery of new capabilities across multiple engineering teams.
Conduct product demonstrations during sprints for early feedback.
Partner with software engineers and users to create business acceptance test cases.
10+ Years of experience as an SAP Product Owner, SAP Functional Analyst, or SAP Solution architect
3+ Years of experience with SAP Commercial Project Management (CPM), SAP Project Systems (PS), and Project Costing/Settlement
3+ Years of experience as a Product Manager for ERP solutions
3+ Years of experience in and knowledge of Order-to-Cash Business processes.
Preferred, not required:
Professional Training and Certification: PMP, SAP
Experience in working on large scale global enterprise implementations
