Draper's Special Programs office delivers first-of-a-kind solutions against urgent national security challenges. We are seeking an experienced Program Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, delivering advanced technical solutions in support of critical mission needs. Responsibilities include identifying, capturing, and growing new business, managing customer engagement, project execution and leading transition of Draper’s innovative solutions for national security sponsors.
Description of Responsibilities:
Work closely with our Customers to propose and execute tailored technical solutions
Manage a portfolio of Government programs, meeting technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
Provide oversight of technical teams and ensure that the teams are suitably resourced to execute effectively.
Coordinate with internal support organizations to ensure that programs are fully compliant with Draper and government requirements.
Lead proposal efforts, including the development of work statements, schedules, budgets, and compelling technical approaches.
Work effectively with a geographically distributed Draper team and external collaborators for business development and program execution.
BS/MS/PhD in Aerospace/Computer/Electrical Engineering, or similar field, with a minimum of 15 years of experience
Deep understanding of customer culture, missions and challenges
Experience in program/project management of R&D technology development activities and integrating new technology into existing, fielded systems
Program/project management in complex technical activities in USG/DoD programs
Experience in developing risk management plans, budgets, and schedules, and delivering presentations/reviews
Ability to interact with and provide direction to multidisciplinary technical teams
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including strong presentation skills
US DoD Top Secret clearance or higher
