In this role, you have the opportunity to
Make an impact on the future of image-guided therapy. You will define, coordinate, and drive research activities with a customer-centric approach that combines cutting-edge technologies into a clinical solution. This position will be located at the Philips Innovation Hub in Cambridge, MA.
You are responsible for
Identifying new opportunities for improving image-guided interventions based on customer and market insights.
Leveraging your broad knowledge of imaging and image guidance in interventional procedures including algorithms and devices.
Designing, implementing, and testing software and hardware prototypes.
Translating benchtop prototypes into pre-clinical and clinical use.
Engaging with the ecosystem to identify clinical needs and validate technical solutions.
Conducting studies, publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts, creating intellectual property, authoring technical reports, and contributing to value proposition creation.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Ph.D. in Biomedical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Medical Physics, Computer Science, or a related field,
3+ years of experience in the medical device industry.
Experience with interventional medical imaging and interventional devices.
Experience with algorithm design and implementation (including registration, image analysis, signal processing, deep learning networks, statistics).
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Experience in the area of minimally invasive solutions for cardiology, interventional radiology, or vascular surgery.
The candidate would benefit from having the following skills for the position:
Experience working with robotics or navigation solutions (e.g. optical, electromagnetic).
Experience with translational research and working with clinical partners.
Experience with software or system architecture.
Knowledge of the value proposition creation process.
Experience leading a small team.
