The Senior Systems Security Engineer will support the development of next generation tamper-resistant architectures and technologies, and will lead the development of development of these novel technologies into deliverable products that support Draper’s National Security & Space Systems Engineering Division. They will work collaboratively with subject matter experts in material science, electronics, algorithms and software engineering to develop attack trees, perform system-level trade studies, synthesize requirements, develop architectures, build, and test novel tamper resistant hardware systems.
B.S. (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
Understanding of digital hardware systems and signal processing
Familiarity with design, analysis, and implementation of secure systems
Experience defining requirements for secure systems
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and how to manage technologies over their full life cycles
M.S. (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
Experience in the following areas is desirable:
performing vulnerability assessments on hardware and software systems
developing threat models and deriving attack trees
conducting trade studies on custom and commercial security components
perform analyses of alternatives for secure components in hardware systems
familiarity with reverse engineering and hardware trojans
secure boot, hardware root-of-trust, FPGA, ASIC, anti-tamper
