GROUP/DIVISION SUMMARY

The Site Project Coordinator reports into the Viral Vector Services (VVS) Division at Thermo Fisher Scientific. This position will based in the Cambridge, MA office. VVS is a rapidly growing, dynamic gene therapy contract development and manufacturing organization.

How will you make an impact?

The principal role of the Site Project Coordinator is to plan, initiate, and manage small to mid-scale projects to support the VP/GM and the Site Leadership Team (SLT) ensuring projects meet business requirements and impact. The project coordinator will need to manage/coordinate resources, monitor project progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met, while communicating effectively with all stakeholders. This role will work closely with the VP/GM of Cambridge and Somerville, along with the Site Leadership Team.

What will you do?

  • Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects including scope, coordinating resources to drive impact and project acceleration.

  • Determine and define clear deliverables required for specific projects or initiatives.

  • Monitor daily tasks to ensure working toward established milestones and deliverables, and ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.

  • Establish and execute project communication plans as needed and develop information communication procedures.

  • Work cross-functionally to coordinate activities and identify and resolve problems.

  • Coordinate between functional areas to ensure project needs are met.

  • Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

  • Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans in conjunction with business.

  • Perform additional tasks in support of VP/GM site operations.

How will you get there?

  • HS Diploma / GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1 to 3 years of project coordinator experience

  • Administrative services background (i.e. coordinating / scheduling onsite & offsite company events, managing calendars, preparing presentations, etc.)

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others

  • Self-starter who has a strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively articulate complex concepts and ideas to broad audiences.

  • Strong presentation skills; highly effective at summarizing and presenting decision points and key considerations.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project).

  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality

  • Excellent problem-solving skills; experience in process improvement is a plus
