Our Platform Cloud team develop global managed services for our internal customers, providing our platform as a solid foundation for all Akamai products. As a ‘behind the scenes’ problem-solving operation, we secure our network, craft solutions, and enable product teams to bring their ideas to market faster.
Help maintain our world-wide network
You will work with software development teams to support quality practices and build manual and automated integration and system tests. You will ensure resilient, scalable quality code releases that are performing optimally on our state-of-the-art distributed infrastructure.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:
Performing full SQA cycle for software releases: gathering specs, developing test plans, running tests as needed
Testing and delivering code using CI/CD pipeline and owning the responsibility of release testing
Developing new automation tests and enhancing the continuous integration/continuous testing of networked software development environments
Supporting technical risk assessment and contributing to decisions on release readiness and schedules
Ensuring that systems and software under test meet product design/specifications
Bringing innovation from the marketplace, contributing to the wider community and striving for innovation
Being a collaborative and proactive member of the teams in Krakow, US and other global teams
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, another related field or its equivalent.
Have experience in writing automation code (Python/PyTest/Robot)
Have experience in working with Linux/Unix-like operating systems and database technologies (Postgres/SQL)
Have experience in developing or testing network protocols and software applications
Have basic knowledge about web services (apache/tomcat), protocols like HTTP/S, DNS and REST based API
Have an excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and be a team player
