Microsoft Corporation Solutions & Program Manager - OSS in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Apps Domain Business Program Manager is accountable and responsible for designing and building the material required for the Modern Apps Domain portfolio of standard offers. The Business Program Manager will then drive the adoption and enhancement of the portfolio in a programmatic manner. In addition, the Business Program Manager will produce and maintain a Sales Collateral Catalog to enable services sellers to accelerate the sales process.

Responsibilities

The Apps Domain Business Program Manager is accountable and responsible for designing and building the material required for the Modern Apps Domain portfolio of standard offers. The Business Program Manager will then drive the adoption and enhancement of the portfolio in a programmatic manner. In addition, the Business Program Manager will produce and maintain a Sales Collateral Catalog to enable services sellers to accelerate the sales process. A diverse background in business (especially business value analysis/business case development), design/implementation of agile/lean processes and technology-awareness is required in this role. Specifically, the Business and Programs Manager will:

  • Have background and be conversant of common open source software (OSS) utilized in cloud-based solutions

  • Collaborate closely with Apps Domain Partner Lead on implementation of Partner Strategy

  • Collaborate closely with Apps Domain Time Zone resources

  • Collect requirements for new offers from internal customers and stakeholders (SSSPs, Pursuit Leads, Architects)

  • Design and Develop content for the Apps Domain portfolio of offers

  • Drive the adoption of offers in conjunction with the L-2-O process

  • Align with Apps Domain technical strategy

  • Partner closely with Apps Domain CTO (COE and SAO)

  • Align to Services Go-to-Markets (GTM)

  • Continuous harvest of sales and delivery IP

  • Support Services, Domain and Team initiatives (Marketing Campaigns, Special Projects, Leadership Team requests)

  • Continuous refresh of Sales Collateral Catalog

  • Collaborate across domain boundaries to look for synergies on offers and services

  • Work in the Azure DevOps environment established for management of initiatives and support of opportunities

  • Support content for Apps Domain business reviews

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience in the business aspects (customer engagement, business case development, requirements collection and analysis) of the solution development process.

  • BS/BA degree required; MS, MBA or equivalent strongly preferred

  • 1+ years of experience in identifying the use of Open Source Software (OSS) in line of business applications

  • Ideal location for this person would be in Charlotte, NC, Altanta, GA or Las Colinas, TX
