The Azure Applications & Infrastructure Solutions Group is responsible for leading the global sales planning, strategy, landing as well as execution and global programs to achieve and accelerate our revenue goals. Our organization engages across Microsoft from Product, Engineering and Marketing, to our globally diverse sales teams - leading the envisioning of new opportunities and products with customers, helping our customers move into a cloud first world, and engaging sellers to create the technical and business elements in their path to the cloud. The Sr. Director of the Global Azure Programs & Center of Excellence organization will be responsible for leading and managing a globally distributed team, accountable for the Azure scale programs including AMP (Azure Migration Program), the A3 team and supporting common elements required to support our Azure Infrastructure, Azure App Dev and Azure IOT businesses. This leader will be a peer to the global business leaders on the leadership team and work closely with each business to support their key sales motions at scale through the central sales engines. The leader will be accountable for managing the relationship with the GSMO, Finance, Engineering and Marketing stakeholders defining the global metrics, operations models, communications, automation, dashboards, SLAs and executive communications.
The output of the organization is industry leading customer experiences working with Azure as a cloud partner, clear value propositions for our aligned partners, and high marks from our seller community for quality support and SLAs. Additionally, this leader will be accountable to deliver to the ROI for the investment of the global programs. Finally, this leader and their team will have deep sales engagement responsibility via WW Apps & Infra field community leadership accountability, as well as the Area-aligned EPM community, and will be responsible for driving inside their organization or across the team agile improvements to support the business and seller experience.
Lead a global team of managers (this is an M2/3 role) and senior ICs, responsible for global programs and operations, creating a cohesive culture of customer orientation and operational excellence
Drive the design and execution of our core Compete motions, content, and messaging in partnership with Marketing and GSMO functions
Lead our partner co-sell efforts in close alignment with the GPS organization, focused on accelerating growth through our prioritized GISV and Services Partner ecosystem
Define the strategy for the programs & operations with the key metrics of success year over year and land this in the FY22 landing plans
Align programs and operations to the Azure Sales strategies, AMP specifically as the “hero program” for Global Azure ATU, STU, and CSU
Define the strategies within the programs and globally around ECIF/ACO/Azure Access and how we align those to sales strategies inside the FY
Work across organizations including the SMC team, the Fast Track team, GSMO leaders to align different organization to achieve business outcomes
Define required operations, dashboards and tooling to track the business outcomes, customer progression through the sales and programs, and simplify and eventually automate to improve business insights
Communicate with clarity at the different levels of the organization how the programs and themes in the field community are impacting the business at a global or Area level, sharing relevant insights and improvements
Manage the global Apps & Infrastructure sales community with high touch, “open source” mentality for building and sharing best practices, manager consumption leadership, compete open dialog.
Leading People and Developing Cultures: Passionate about leading people and building cultures centered on accountability and empathy. Should have 10+ years of business experience, and 5+ years of experience in people management over global teams.

Communicating w clarity: Shows experience communicating complex, ongoing business data, into many stakeholders and executive to drive clarity and always-on insights.
Creating alignment across organizations : Experienced working across different disciplines including finance, marketing, sales and engineering to align to shared goals.
Cloud business and market: Experienced in the cloud customer and sales models and understand the market dynamics around customers moving from on-premise to cloud.
Growth Mindset: The leader is courageous to challenge the status-quo, vocally expressing challenging ideas or opinions, creating energy with others to grow and take risks.
Leadership :Lead a team of Microsoft employees plus supporting vendors and be accountable for productivity and impact.
Complex Program Management: Work across sales, marketing, services, and other various organization to solve complex issues and drive solution implementation.
Collaboration :Deeply understand and collaborate with corporate and field leadership. Represent field priorities with precision to influence global programs.
Communications :Lead broad cross-community messaging that scales across audiences and delivers clarity and understanding.
Travel and Re-location
Ability to travel (5% travel required-including international). No travel required during COVID remote work period.
