Microsoft Corporation Sr Partner Industry Program Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts

With a vision to "Build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more," Global Partner Solutions (GPS) is responsible for driving revenue outcomes with partners through innovative solutions – at scale! The Solutions Strategy & GTM (SSGTM) team within GPS is responsible for creating a single, end-to-end global go-to-market strategy across our commercial services partner ecosystem, inclusive of our ISVs, GSIs, and services partners.

This role, Senior Partner Industry Program Manager , will be part of a new team focused on defining and mainstreaming our partner program strategy aligned to Microsoft’s Industry cloud strategy. This position is responsible for working collaboratively across the organization to translate industry cloud strategy into a set of actionable plans and requirements that can be built into Microsoft’s partner programs, systems, tools and processes.

This role will also support Industry Cloud partner program readiness and enablement, partnering with stakeholders across the company to develop a plan and operational capability to ready Systems Integrator and ISV partners to sell, build-upon, and extend industry cloud capabilities. The perfect fit is a seasoned large scale program or project manager and operational thought leader, with proven ability for program development and definition and translating thought leadership into operational execution.


  • Collaborates with manager and across team to help define Industry partner program strategy aligned to Industry marketing team’s Industry Cloud strategy and plans and ensures programs achieve clear and measurable outcomes for the business and partners

  • Manages the relationship with Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) program teams to ensure Industry partner program requirements are mainstreamed within MPN and other Microsoft partner or business programs, systems, and tools as required

  • Supports the planning, development and ongoing program management for Industry Cloud SI and ISV partner enablement and readiness, in partnership with Industry PMG, GPS stakeholders, MPN program team, and Worldwide Learning.

  • Drives the development of Industry partner program messaging and positioning and value propositions and ensure they are incorporated into MPN MPF and value propositions, including readiness components to drive market differentiation and real-world partner value in marketplace

  • Provide program and project management support for strategic partner projects or initiatives as assigned

  • Applies a broad and deep understanding of customers, partners and internal groups' needs, drivers, and decision-making processes and plans and influences priorities and decisions to improve satisfaction, performance, and the partner experience.

  • Actively seeks and creates opportunities for synergies across partners and internal groups to drive long-term industry cloud partner program solutions and shared roadmaps for program implementation, readiness and content

  • Establishes best practices for shared strategies that set the standard for clear expectations, scope and scale, and minimize redundancies.

  • Implements project management protocols for risk mitigation, cost, time, quality, resources and business value. Seeks appropriate opportunities for incremental improvement and/or innovation


  • 5 + years demonstrated track record of success in developing, managing, and improving large scale business or partner programs, including interfacing with a diverse set of stakeholders in a global environment

  • Passionate, results-driven, and organized approach; with an attention to detail: A self-starter who can create and deliver scalable plans from concept to delivery, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, effectively driving to measurable results.

  • The ability to work cross-team in ambiguous and changing environments, along with excellent listening and partnering skills. Must be comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment, and leading program v-teams or workstreams aligned to shared goals and measures.

  • Engagement expertise: Storytelling skills and passion for delighting partners, advocating on their behalf, creating great partner experiences, and understanding the linkage between these experiences and business success

  • Experience leading/navigating large cross-functional virtual teams is a critical skill for success. Comfortable challenging the status quo. Brings demonstrated experience proposing, creating, and managing executive-level proposals and presentations.

  • Executive Relations: The ability to interact confidently with people at all levels of the organization to present/defend/clarify concerns or issues regarding an existing project or program. This includes the ability to confidently address difficult questions, handle pushback and engage in high-pressure situations

  • The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $125000 and $187700.

  • At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
