OptumLabs has earned Qualified Entity status under the CMS Medicare QE Medicare Data Sharing for Performance Measurement Program and has successfully linked the 100% Medicare Fee-For-Service claims data into the OptumLabs Data Warehouse. To support the growing demand for the data, OptumLabs has established a formal QE Program to help ensure the team delivers on key customer commitments.

To oversee and execute critical QE program deliverables we are looking for a seasoned project manager who is experienced in technical environment and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with strong team leadership and problem solving skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive cross-application planning and delivery of complex OptumLabs initiatives for internal and external customers

  • Ensure all project dependencies/linkages are identified and managed (i.e., cross-project dependencies, regulatory and legal requirements, contracting)

  • Communicate delivery and financial status across all projects to OptumLabs Management team

  • Track and escalate issues and risks, ensuring full mitigation and resolution

  • Ensure a disciplined approach and methodologies are applied to optimize cost, schedule, service and quality.

  • Driving progress of projects across numerous internal and external stakeholders, functional areas and project teams

  • Develop and maintain a coordinated, productive working relationship with project sponsors, key business owners and technology partners

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree

  • 4+ years of experience in Project Management planning and delivery of technology projects

  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, develop strong relationships to work effectively in a large matrix environment

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely across many levels of an organization

  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Project and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Agile software development

  • Knowledgeable across multiple functional areas such as project management, technology development, security and finance.

  • Healthcare IT experience

  • Strong team leadership skills with demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members
