About this Role:
As part of the web architecture team, the Technical Architect works with different individuals from across the organization on various projects including web, mobile, content management, CRM, and analytics systems. This role involves contributing to a project’s definition requirements and collaborating with seasoned developers to convert designs into a high-performing, scalable architecture and make them a reality.
Use agile architecture principles to develop technical designs that meet customer requirements in the most optimal way.
Provide technical design and guidance for the development team. Collaborate with other architects in generating innovative ideas.
Architect search solutions to Forrester’s web applications.
Develop Java-based web applications. Be an outstanding developer who also understands how to design a solution and a hand-off to others.
Design and implement microservices for client-facing applications.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent technical field.
Ten-plus years designing and building Java-based web applications; seven-plus years working on production-level applications; and a solid understanding of object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), UML, and design patterns.
Knowledge of search technologies (ElasticSearch) and SSO technologies (SAML and OAuth2) is preferred.
Extensive agile development experience and an understanding of how the architecture role succeeds in that process.
Strong problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting production systems.
The drive to innovate with the latest tools and strategies.
Solid communication and negotiation skills; the ability to express complex technical issues to a diverse audience (technical and nontechnical).
