Job Summary

The Director of Analytics/BI Delivery, part of the Corporate Data & Analytics department, is the enterprise analytics leader accountable for executing the Point32Health enterprise analytic solution roadmap supporting key business objectives. The role is responsible for delivering and adopting analytic solutions/applications across the enterprise in consultation/partnership with Analytics Product Owners (e.g., Operations, Provider, Population Health, MCM, etc.). In addition, the leader is expected to collaborate with data management and governance leadership to ensure that the analytics’ objectives are represented in the enterprise data and analytics infrastructure, consolidated data warehouse data governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

  • Manage P32H analytic portfolio, continually assessing for opportunities (replace, retire, buy, build) and oversee analytics vendor performance.

  • Partner with CD&A product owners and leverage global Analytics and IT services partners to deliver analytic solutions/applications and integrated analytics data layers.

  • Partner with CD&A product owners to bring ideas and new use cases to life and identify areas for optimization and improvement and implement solutions

  • Mature the analytics delivery teams to be modern and nimble for an optimal time to market, with the capability of scaling up as required.

  • Establish, mature, and champion analytic solution design & delivery governance to ensure the applications delivered are optimal and follow best practices & standards.

  • Conduct buy v build assessments for all analytic use cases and execute RFPs/RFIs as needed.

  • Partner with IT leadership to solve data and analytics needs across the two heritage platforms during the integration phase and support the longer-term roadmap for data and analytics architecture and infrastructure, including a consolidated data warehouse.

  • Represent analytics’ needs in the implementation of the enterprise data governance programs including areas of data literacy, data quality and metadata management

  • Manage the operational and capital budget for Analytics Delivery

  • Support the annual business planning, including pipeline development and estimations for analytics use cases

  • Stay current on industry knowledge trends and best practices in all areas of data management

  • Support the leadership in defining enterprise data and analytic strategy, blueprint, and roadmap to support key business objectives.

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in data and analytics fields, with ten years or more in BI, Data, Governance, and Analytics leadership roles

  • Experience in end-to-end implementation of enterprise-scale analytics solutions

  • Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data management systems/solutions/functions such as – Data Warehouse, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, BI, Reporting, Advanced Analytics, etc. Hybrid data, analytics, and governance expertise will be a significant plus.

  • Solid working and implementation knowledge in at least one BI platform, relational and non-relational databases in the data warehouse space, data preparation/wrangling tools, and SQL

  • Well-versed in design thinking and can take a business need from idea to wireframe to solution design to solution development and delivery.

  • Must have hands-on experience in leveraging global delivery partners to deliver business needs in a cost-optimal way

  • Must have managed medium to large teams with multi-million-dollar budgets

  • Thorough understanding and delivery experience using agile project management methodologies like Scrum and Kanban

  • Evidence of continuing education, such as certifications, is a plus.

  • Exceptional communication and reporting skills

  • Outstanding leadership skills and ability to delegate responsibilities and influence change effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate staff and inculcate critical & innovative thinking

  • Forward-thinking and strong abilities in relationship management

  • Knowledge of Azure capabilities in the data space is a plus.

  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree strongly preferred
