Qorvo US, Inc. Sr Design Engineer (8696) in Chelmsford, Massachusetts

We are looking for an ambitious, conscientious, and thorough RFIC Design Engineer to join the Qorvo team in Billerica, MA. You will work in a fast pace, highly co-operative environment with a world-class team. You will be responsible for designing highly-integrated microwave and millimeter-wave RFICs in state of the art technologies. You will work with others to invent new circuit design and simulation techniques and will play an instrumental role in the growth and excellence of Qorvo\'s IP portfolio. Repsonsibilitis may include: Contributing to the design of multiple functional blocks including millimeter-wave (mmW) LNAs, PAs, Phase Shifters, Attenuators, Switches, Supporting Analog and Interface circuitry in state of the art CMOS and RFSOI technologies Meeting performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, power dissipation and schedule Working as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, layouts, simulations, and real lab data Evaluating and device modeling of different Si processes for high-frequency designs Working with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data Qualifications: MSEE or PhD in Electrical Engineering required 1-10+ years of RFIC experience required Deep understanding of RF, mmWave and analog design techniques including parasitic modeling and EM analysis Solid understanding of front-end PA/LNA/switch circuits including impact of transition and package Familiarity of RF/mmWave beamforming architectures and circuit blocks (ie. phase shifters, VGA) and ability to work with system engineers to translate system requirement into IC level specification Front end design experience preferred Knowledge of packaging technologies and their impact on circuit design and ability to perform EM analysis on packages is a plus Knowledgeable about foundry processes and ability to perform trade-studies to select appropriate processes for specific RFIC applications Experienced with analog and bias circuit design for RF and mmWave blocks RF/mixed signal design experience with PLLs, ADCs, or DACs in advanced silicon processes a plus Experienced in silicon characterization and debugging Proven track record of design for first time success Capable to mentor others in advanced circuit design and simulation techniques a plus Participates in defining design process improvements and implementation of such improvements. Experience with ADS, Cadence, HFSS, EMX Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT QORVO We are Qorvo.
