Boston College Auxiliary Systems Support Specialist in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts

Job Description Function as a principal payment card system Administrator and Manager for meal plan operations, providing primary administrative support to Dining Services team and customers. Maintain professional relationships within the Boston College community including students, faculty, and staff as well as all external clients and vendors. Consistently prioritize in order to ensure all systems are operating fully and correctly. Assist other employees with system related job functions and with certain operational functions. Work with a diverse customer base to include students, faculty, staff, and the general public with respect to event management, advance order and menu management systems. Act as primary customer service contact for the above systems, particularly on administrative matters, by managing incoming phone calls and emails. Exercise tact and diplomacy with clients and professional contacts to maintain relationships and represent Boston College in a positive image. Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as system support and business levels required. Requirements Education: Associate?s degree or equivalent required; Bachelor?s degree preferred. Extensive industry experience and database aptitude may partially substitute for degree requirement. Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience with accounting or credit software, and a firm understanding of service and retail operations. Skills: Enhanced proficiency with computers, with experience with Excel, Word, and other Microsoft applications is required. Must also have an enhanced knowledge of database-type software, allowing for primary administration of Event Management system software. Must also possess strong analytical skills, and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
