Crane Currency Global CBS Director in Dalton, Massachusetts

Crane Currency is looking to add a Global Continuous Improvement Director (aka Global CBS Director).This position can be based at any of our U.S. locations (Dalton, MA; Nashua, NH; or Alpharetta, GA) You must be able to easily travel to any Crane Currency location, up to 50% may be required. This global position will lead, coach, and facilitate the implementation of the Crane Business Systems (CBS) globally in all Crane Currency locations and functional areas. The Global CBS Director, in conjunction with the Currency Leadership Team, Site Leaders, and CBS Managers will identify opportunities, aligned with the business strategic goals, to continuously improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Growth using the CBS philosophy, training and tools to drive the improvement. As Global CBS Director, you will be a relentless advocate of a culture of continuous improvement. Qualifications: Significant Experience in Lean / Kaizens / Continuous improvement as a team facilitator, leader, and member (> 50 Kaizens) Extensive experience utilizing various Lean and SixSigma tools Prior experience developing an Operating or Business System highly desirable Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills Strong influencing skills, including facilitation of groups toward deliverables, and ability to establish credibility Demonstrated ability to work at all levels of the organization High energy level; Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities Team player - able to work in a matrix organization Ability to drive quality improvements, equipment validation and/or new product launches Four year Degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering Black Belt Certification highly preferred Familiarity with IATF 16949 Tools Ability to travel up to 50% is a Must Applicants must be United States citizens demonstrating suitability for employment in a Position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements Some responsibilities include: Drive the application of the Crane Business System through the development Continuous Improvement (CI) Roadmaps for each Site and Functional Area, preferably through Value Stream Mapping, if applicable; Monitor and support the execution of the CI Roadmaps and provide feedback to the CBS Managers, Site Leaders, Functional Leaders, and VP Ops, with a regular and defined cadence. Monitor and support the development of Tool Champions and review progress with the CBS Managers CBS Managers, Site Leaders, Functional Leaders, and VP Ops, with a regular and defined cadence. Improve organizational knowledge and engagement in the CBS Tools, in accordance with Currency goals, through Project, Kaizens, and JDI?s; Monitor progress towards Currency goals for engagement in the CBS Tools as measured by kaizen and associate participation, and recommend adjustments, as required Coach and guide on Kaizen execution including the development of the Kaizen, Problem Statement, Blast Objectives, Scope, and Team, development and conduct of the Kaizen Pre-Work, conduct of the Kaizen and development of the report out, and Post-Event Review of the Newspaper Items and Metrics; Attend Kaizen Pre-Work Meetings/Reviews, Kaizen Daily Management Meetings, and Kaizen Report Outs, schedule permitting. Coach and guide on execution of Projects including development of the A-3, Action Plan, and DOE (If applicable) Lead, annually, the CI Roadmap Assessment and CBS Self-Assessment for each site Coordinate the identification and development of Currency candidates for CBS Fundamentals Workshops, Lean Training (University of Kentucky), and Advanced Problem-Solving Training (SBTI) Support the onboarding of new hires in CBS, as required.
