Desktop Support Techs needed ASAP in Devens, MA for 3+ month contract positions! Shifts available: Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (1st shit) Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm (2nd Shift) ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Troubleshoot and handle service issues, approvals, and installations in a timely manner ? Foster good customer relations and service at all times ? Monitor and maintain the knowledge database functionality to include tracking tickets issued, outstanding, completion time etc. ? Maintenance of IT equipment such as PC's, servers, networking equipment, label printers and bar code scanners. ? Troubleshooting and solving technical support issues both in an office and robotic warehouse environment. ? Responsible for tackling ongoing special projects such as, but not limited to, running cable, configuring stations, and installing access points, switches, and other pieces of network equipment ? Printer maintenance and support ? Troubleshooting WAN/LAN and wireless connectivity issues ? Desktop/Laptop image creation and management ? IP Phone setup and support ? Installation and support of Microsoft Office and other miscellaneous software applications ? Respond to help desk incoming calls and manage ticket queues ? IT inventory control ? Perform backup and create ghost images ? Provide daily reports ? Perform other duties assigned by management QUALIFICATIONS AND skills of the Technical Support ? B.S. in IT or CS preferred; Certifications a plus but not required ? 2-4 years? experience in technical support of PC's and networks in a Microsoft environment ? Experience with Widows Server 2008/20012, Hyper ?V, IIS. ? Knowledge of active directory and domains. ? Knowledge of TCP/IP configurations. ? Knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, XML ? Ability to monitor network and servers. ? Strong planning & organizational skills required ? Proven ability and desire to rapidly understand ever-changing and new technology, and quickly become an ?expert? in its use and the ability to effectively support it in a fast-paced environment. ? Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills ? Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment ? Excellent time management and communication skills ? Responsible and reliable, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude. ? Ability to monitor network and servers. ? Requires the ability to lift up to 75lbs, bend, squat, reach, twist, climb a ladder, run a network cable and operate scissor lifts to access and repair equipment. ? The physical working environment will include both office space as well as warehouse facilities.
