GDIT is seeking a Migration Manager to provide O365 SharePoint Online support for an exciting new contract, Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS). NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract funding.
Successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of migration project development and implementation from original inception to final completion. Serves as a single point of contact. Interfaces with all parties involved in the project including developers, engineers, communication and user adoption managers, trainers, and customers. Gathers customers’ requirements and establish project scope and objectives. Prepares detailed schedules, project estimates, and status reports. Allocates resources to facilitate the successful completion of projects. Coordinates and conducts meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Reviews deliverables and ensures adherence to quality standards. Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and evaluates vendor deliverables. Provides recommendations and takes action to resolve any management related issues.
Responsibilities include the following:
Experienced with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online, specifically.
Functions as the primary point of contact for the Project Management Office for multiple work streams.
Responsible for managing projects, coordinating project schedule, resource allocation, risk management, priorities, and communication.
Responsible for handling incoming help requests and execution of solutions.
Perform technical writing and documentation activities.
Build both client and end user trust, establishing relationships and developing a rapport within each assigned work stream.
Understanding of traditional project management and Agile methods.
Document and facilitate requirements gathering with stakeholders.
Identify current- and future-state business processes.
Ensures relevant plans for training, communications and stakeholder management are in place and are effective for impacted business areas.
Participates in team and customer interactions to analyze, design, and document SharePoint solutions and architecture suited to specific business needs and processes
Provides input into SharePoint best practice guidance documentation as needed
Provides responses for other team members in support of end user support requests as needed
Other duties as assigned
Active DoD Secret clearance
Level II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or managerial discipline (additional years of experience and/or certifications may be considered in place of education)
8 years of experience
Experience managing multiple projects in parallel
Experience managing medium to large IT Technology projects using a structured methodology
Proficient to expertise in managing project financials (i.e.creation, forecast, projections, etc.)
Proficient in the ability to effectively manage risks, issues, and change requests
Ability to adapt to change effectively
Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to explain technical procedures in business terms so that customers understand.
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment
Solid work ethic and the ability to work in a mission critical environment independently and as part of a team
