- The Technology Team supports the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of all banking systems. This team has the expertise and commitment to develop high-quality solutions to meet the needs of a fast-paced and complex operating environment.
Reporting to the Infrastructure CIO, the IT Disaster Recovery Director will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of a Disaster Recovery Program to include disaster recovery planning, risk assessment, testing and ongoing process improvement. The individual will support all activities necessary to enable the Holding Company and its subsidiaries to respond to a technology interruption and will support the lines of business in developing a disaster recovery related contingency planning while unifying technical resources in the event of service disruptions or operational risks.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develops and oversees a Disaster Recovery (DR) plan for the Holding company and the bank.
Coordinate with technical units and application owners dedicated to DR to ensure procedures and configurations are maintained and updated.
Serves as project manager and first point of contact to ensure Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) are achievable and realized.
Participates and serves as a resource in the development of policies, procedures and guidelines for IT system recovery plans, and crisis management.
Maintain the organization's Disaster Recovery project plans and failover procedures.
Identify areas where existing DR policies and procedures may require change or where new ones may need to be developed.
Coordinates DR testing, including the scheduling, execution, monitoring and review of DR tests.
Ensures configuration changes made at the primary data center are appropriately replicated to the backup data center, including procedures, hardware, network equipment, software and data.
Stay current on technology focused DR professional practices and industry trends to continually develop and maintain a resilient DR plan.
7-10 years of progressive experience in Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity in a Technology setting
Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience
Experience in IT network/data center operations or similar background, with a working technical knowledge of current systems software, hardware and network standards at an architectural level
MBCP, CBCP, C/DRE or CBCM certifications preferred but not required
Basic knowledge and application of IT DR and Information Security Professional Standards and Guidelines
An extensive background in successful DR services/implementations and large-scale DR testing event planning experience
Experience with disaster recovery planning software
Expertise in performing both risk and impact analyses
Excellent interpersonal skills, reflected in the ability to successfully form cooperative partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve business-focused solutions
Excellent analytical, communication, writing and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex technical issues into understandable reports, updates, and proposals for solutions
Excellent organizational skills, including the flexibility to work independently and on a team to provide quality and timely deliverable
