Robert Half IT Project Manager, IT Intermediate in Dorchester, Massachusetts

Description Our local client is seeking candidates to work onsite with their existing team as a Senior Project Manager. This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the Dorchester, Massachusetts area. If you want to manage key projects as part of our client's strategic business plan, you could be the Senior Project Manager they're looking for! It is important for this position to ensure that changes are delivered to the expectations of stakeholders, serving as a key member of the team. You will strengthen your candidacy if you can be responsible for managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project. What you get to do every day

  • Assigns schedules and milestones with inputs from all other teams assigned to that product, manages project scope and timelines

  • Functions as Scrum Master for the developers on the team - clearing obstacles, ensuring the team is working effectively, and leading scrum ceremonies

  • Jointly acts with Product Owner/Product Manager to warrant that the product vision and high-level business objectives are definite and viable

  • Guarantee that the functional requirements are achievable, met, and tracked

  • Be instrumental in managing dependencies among cross-product teams

  • Conducts deployment scheduling in coordination with Dev Ops, Product Owner, and tech lead

  • Operates with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects

  • Assists to manage, identify, and classify risk for functional improvement requests

  • Closely cooperating with the Product Owner/Product Manager, QA Manager, Business Analyst, and Product Specialist

  • Determines project with correct ticket workflows and boards

  • Make it easier for the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products

  • Coordinates and directs the sprint planning and grooming meetings and marks ticket assignments

  • Supports the daily stand-ups, guaranteeing their are focused, brief, and timely

  • Work closely together and communicates with designers, stakeholders, developers, and technical team members

  • Aquires and schedules projects - as per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner

  • Establishes the RACI matrix for projects in a product line

  • Heads project planning

  • Work together to facilitate creation and maintenance of the Project Roadmap with the Product Owner/Product Manager

  • Supplies detailed reporting to management on risk assessments, milestone completion, and project status

  • Amasses facts from business analysts, technical leads, and QA leads into references Requirements - We'll consider you a good candidate for this position if you are familiar and comfortable with IT project management methodologies

  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Project Management experience

    • It is preferred for applicants to have proficiency using commonly accepted scheduling and project management tools

    • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

    • Applicants should have experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures

  • Project management skills, strong operational abilities, and demonstrated leadership and supervisory qualifications

  • navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience

    • Candidates with a Project Management (PMP) certification will be the best fit for this position.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

    • You'll do well at this position if you are flexible and focused
