Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for executing security policies and requirements set by InfoSec
Responsible for product selection, designing, building, testing, implementing, and optimizing the infrastructure in accordance with security policies and guidelines
Management and support of Network Security Services
Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems
Protect system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations
Implement security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements
Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
Upgrade system by implementing and maintaining security controls
Keep users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status
Maintain quality service by following organization standards
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Guarantee compliance of Network Security technologies with Information Security Standards
Provide recommendations on configurations for Network Security tools
Support the evaluation of technical requirements for projects to determine the impact to the infrastructure including equipment redundancy and capacity requirements
Ensure completeness of technical requirements and functional architecture analysis for the design and implementation of system business solutions
Identify requirements gaps or issues
Determine systems specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility

Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Typically requires 3 or more years of relevant IT work experience.
Relevant network security Certifications ideal but not required.
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products.
Experience with Network Security Troubleshooting.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge And Ability Requirements
Experience with general IT concepts beyond their primary discipline
Experience configuring and managing Enterprise level proxies.
Experience configuring and managing Firewalls and Intrusion Prevention Systems.
Experience configuring and managing Web Application Firewalls.
Experience configuring and managing Network Access Control technologies.
Deep Understanding of Network and Security Concepts.
Basic understanding of Windows and Linux system administration.
