Robert Half Project Manager, Data / Database Sr. in Dorchester, Massachusetts

Description This position requires an experienced Project Manager/ Sr. Consultant. Apply with Robert Half today for this Senior Project Manager role, working onsite with a client in the Dorchester, Massachusetts area. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project. Key responsibilities

  • Works closely together and communicates with developers, designers, stakeholders, and technical team members

  • Directs deployment scheduling in coordination with tech lead, Dev Ops, and Product Owner- Interacts with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects

  • Engages with Product Owner/Product Manager to double check that the product vision and high-level business objectives are transparent and obtainable

  • Sets out the RACI matrix for projects in a product line

  • Assure that the functional requirements are met, achievable, and tracked

  • Collaborates with the Product Owner/Product Manager to facilitate creation and maintenance of the Project Roadmap

  • Acts as Scrum Master for the developers on the team - ensuring the team is working effectively, clearing obstacles, and leading scrum ceremonies

  • Advances to manage, identify, and classify risk for functional improvement requests

  • Heads project planning

  • Gives a hand to manage dependencies among cross-product teams

  • Determines and schedules projects - as per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner

  • Supplies detailed reporting to management on risk assessments, milestone completion, and project status

  • Lists out and supervises the sprint planning and grooming meetings and follows ticket assignments

  • Devises schedules and milestones with inputs from all other teams assigned to that product, manages project scope and timelines

  • Provides project outlines with fitting ticket workflows and boards

  • Assembles report from business analysts, QA leads, and technical leads into an analysis

  • Work in close cooperation with the Business Analyst, QA Manager, Product Owner/Product Manager, and Product Specialist

  • Coordinates the daily stand-ups, ensuring they are focused, timely, and brief

  • Foster the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products Requirements - Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant Project Management experience

    • To be considered, you should be familiar and comfortable with IT project management methodologies
  • Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of navigating basic office equipment and protocols

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability, strong operation and project management skills

    • Experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

    • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues
