East Boston, Revere
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Nursing or other relevant field
Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Nursing or other relevant field.
Five years of relevant experience, including three (3) years of management experience in, innovation, digital health services, information technology, patient engagement, healthcare operations or other relevant field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to include the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts and build teams.
Demonstrated innovative approach to problem resolution.
Ability to work collaboratively across EBNHC’s departments and business lines.
Demonstrated commitment to patient- and family centered care.
Effective analytical ability in order to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to and solve complex problems and issues.
Demonstrated effective managerial and administrative leadership of clinical operations
Effective organizational, planning and project management abilities. Experience in financial and programmatic presentations.
Ability to function independently and deal with multiple, simultaneous projects.

The Digital Health Director is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic and personnel activities for Digital Health and Telehealth at EBNHC. This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring the goals and objectives while maintaining alignment with the strategic goals and objectives for the organization. While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad and varied, the position’s major responsibility is management and oversight of all digital health initiatives and managing day to day operations of these implementations. The Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders, coordinating the activities of Digital Health and Telehealth across the enterprise.
The Director of Digital Health is responsible for building and maintaining EBNHC’s digital front door and digital health services, aimed at engaging patients in their health outside of our brick and mortar including but not limited to, patient portal, telehealth, patient engagement through texting and remote patient monitoring. Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders, including close partners and/or dyads in Information Technology, Marketing, Patient Access, Patient Accounts,Office of Patient Experience and Physician Informatics.
The Director of Digital Health serves as the programmatic and operational leader for Digital Health and is responsible to the COO and CMO.
Evaluates functionality of patient facing technologies and provides direction for feature/function implementation.
Provides an experience and environment of patient- and family-centered care.
Drive the mapping and gap assessment of the patient journey to inform the product roadmap, working proactively to integrate new technology and processes when necessary to drive the business or patient experience forward
Stay up to date on the virtual/digital care landscape including competitive products, shifting legal and compliance issues and partner with clinical leadership on changes in standards of care and clinical guidelines
Understand and maintain legality of telehealth program
Ensures solutions comply with Telehealth payer regulations
Works closely with clinical leadership and the Physician informatics team to inform decisions to promote provider satisfaction and support of Virtual care and use of technology to support Digital health
Interprets impact of broad scope organizational change for staff around the support of digital Health and develops change strategies for successful implementation.
Incorporates EBNHC’s vision, missions and values in goals and programs within Digital Health.
Evaluates resources needed to support Digital and Telehealth at EBNHC.
Develops and manages operational initiatives with measurable outcomes.
Formulates objectives, goals and strategies collaboratively with other stakeholders.
Prepares and delivers reports to operational leadership outlining progress toward meeting annual goals and objectives, to include performance related to finance, clinical activity, quality, safety, marketing, and human resources.
Actively seeks opportunities to improve financial outcomes, engaging staff in the process.
Monitors and analyzes financial data and utilizes for decisions regarding FTE’s, staffing and operational budget.
Creates business plan(s), justifying variances and analyzing cost benefit of programs.
Contribute to the success of the EBNHC by providing leadership, direction and coordination of operations, finances and human resources for area of responsibility.
Continually assesses all services, identifies problems, utilizes data to analyze and propose innovative approaches for solutions.
Engages staff and other stakeholders in continuous improvement of systems and processes; manages resources for staff participation in improvement work activities.
Remains current of new trends and best practices and incorporates into Digital Health practices and programs.
Develops and implements innovative systems and processes that improve staff and patient quality and safety
Demonstrates achievable and measurable results and develop action plans for improvement
Initiates, monitors and enforces regulatory requirements
Ensures development of Digital Health initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and family centered care.
Develops and implements clinical outcome measures for quality improvement, cost and complication reduction, and the implementation of evidence-based medicine.
Creates bi-directional systems that effectively communicate information and data, utilizing multiple methods.
Articulates and presents data, information and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrates empathy and concern while ensuring Digital Health goals are met.
Manages the complex interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships to assure collaboration and effective/efficient operations within Digital Health.
