Job Description

The Help Desk/AV Specialist has primary responsibility for providing technical assistance to all HCFM staff. This position will work closely with the IT team to set up and maintain end users laptops and software. The Help Desk/AV Specialist will coordinate the organization of AV and streaming solutions. To support the core mission of Holy Cross Family Ministries, occasional weekend service is required.


Provide technical support to HCFM staff using Microsoft Office 365 in a professional manner, including instructions and training as needed.

Provide technical assistance with printers.

Perform hands-on preventive maintenance on computers, laptops, and end users devices.

Set up new devices and computers with the software approved by the organization.

Maintain inventory list of HCFM technology and AV equipment.

Provide IT support for on-site events and meetings including media room setup.

Operate the AV conferencing equipment.

Assist the Streaming team.

Required Skills

Associates degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Experience with end user support with technical issues

Experience with Microsoft Windows 10, Mac OS and Microsoft Office 365

Experience with laptops and mobile devices, both IOS and Android

Experience with video conferencing software and hardware

Knowledge of Streaming a plus

Demonstrate attention to detail

Team-oriented, cooperative and collaborative approach

Solid written and verbal communication skills
