Foxborough Regional Charter School Manager of Technology in Foxborough, Massachusetts

Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager of Technology coordinates and supervises the reliability and security of computing, phone services and technology throughout the district and supports curriculum and instructional practices. The Manager will collaborate with the Instructional Technology Manager, curriculum leaders, and principals, to develop and implement digital experiences that will enhance teaching and learning for all students. This position works all year. Essential Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the district's policies and negotiated agreements. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Manage applications such as: Exchange, Aruba(Wireless Networking), Barracuda Email Security Gateway, Server OS versions and platforms, Vmware, Security Applications, Cylance, Linewize, Firewall Platforms, Key fobs, Security cameras Experience deploying and managing both Windows and Apple devices, certificates, automated Coordinate the recommendation for and implementation of new technologies, professional development in the use of the new and existing technologies. Manages the maintenance of computers and phone services in all district buildings. Supports the Help Desk FMX ticketing system Maintains district Network including servers, switches, and associated infrastructure. Coordinate the district applications with the Universal Service Fund (E-rate) and other appropriate sources of technology funding. Responsible for District copiers. Develop and maintain a partnership with the Instructional Technology Manager and Principals Be responsible for the work assignments and performances of all members of the district technology department. Provide an annual review of the department with future plans for equipment needs and budgeting. Be a technology resource person for all staff members, Keep abreast of new technologies and research through contacts with publishers' representatives, professional organizations, reading of publications, and professional meetings. Vendor Management Perform such other related tasks as may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or relevant work history required- Master’s Degree preferred. 5+ years of IT, technology experience Demonstrated progressive leadership in IT and experience in department personnel management Knowledge of Information Technology practices and trends in both private and public sector organizations of similar size and complexity; Knowledge of hardware and software technologies, networking, and best practices in IT operations in school systems. General data literacy (e.g. interpret data, understand metrics and district targets); Knowledge of data systems and procedures, including accounting, training methodology, networks and personal computer software and hardware; Affinity for records retention and practices Project Management experience with large and complex initiatives Must be able to speak clearly and concisely in written or oral communication, excellent organizational and attention to detail skills A leadership style that encourages teamwork, collaboration and personal responsibility Strong customer service orientation Ability to operate as an effective, tactical and strategic thinker Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues and administration. Commitment to high performance standards Be available outside traditional working hours Google Apps for Education; administration experience preferred Must have an understanding of and respect for the crucial role academic technologies and operations play in education with respect to increasing student access, engagement and success. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
