Staples’ Cyber Security team is a collaborative partner and revenue accelerator for Staples. We combine our unique expertise and knowledge of the business with innovative technology and risk-based, customer-focused solutions to protect our infrastructure and secure our assets.

As the Sr Mgr Cyber Security, your passion and technical savvy will help you enable critical access to business application with sound security principles. As a leader within the Cybersecurity department, your emphasis will be driving access controls methodologies and identity standards throughout the enterprise. You will provide expertise and leadership in all IAM technical domains, while striving for strong performance and project delivery. You will employ a collaborative approach to solving complex issues and exhibiting a strong customer focus for internal Staples stakeholders.
The Senior Manager will set a world-class example for the IAM practitioners, while providing compassionate coaching and mentorship to junior cybersecurity professionals. You will manage cross-functional teams responsible for consulting on security best practices while working to modernize access control and application interface(s). This role also balances tactical responsibilities as an escalation point between IAM operations & integrated IT systems, which includes a focus on continual service improvement.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications
10+ years in IT or cybersecurity roles, with emphasis on cybersecurity management & leadership.
Experience working with Agile and ITSM methodologies.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to influence and educate Staples digital stakeholders.
What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications
Substantial experience in a Cyber Security, IAM, and Cybersecurity Management roles.
Proficient understanding of modern authentication/authorization schemes like SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language), OAuth (Open Authentication), OpenID Connect and advanced, system-access methodologies.
Proficient understanding of Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD and designing access methodologies for cloud native applications.
Experience leading automation and development staff to optimize continual service improvements (CSI) and batch identity processing needs.
Developing security controls for governance and compliance concerns.
Leading enterprise technical initiatives with a reputation for high-quality delivery.
Strong Cloud security experience with one or more enterprise cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google).
Leadership over traditional IAM technical areas (Access Management, Identity Management and Governance), with peripheral responsibilities within Enterprise Directories (or Virtual Directories), Privileged Access Management (PIM/PAM), Digital Certificates, Federated Access and Single-Sign On (SSO).
CISSP Certification preferred - or commensurate skills, background, and abilities.
