Software Engineer III
PositionDescription: Manage technical environments including, application performance, security, versions and tools. Architect, develop and lead technical work on initiatives for contract furniture business. Partner with the SDS Furniture team, contract furniture business and other SDS teams to innovate and deliver technology solutions that support key business initiatives that includes order management and supply chain applications. Interface with multiple development teams and must be able to build strong cross-functional partnership. Design and development of application modules migrating to micro services. Participate in all phases of the Systems Development Lifecycle. Work with Business Analysts and other team members to architect solutions. Perform detailed application design and development. Develop plans, execute, and evaluate unit tests. Ensure successful and timely delivery of all project components within area of responsibility following methodologies, standards and strategies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology, business processes and practices to continually improve applications and systems processes. Provide management with analysis of current applications and systems processes. Proactively makes recommendations to management on opportunities to apply systems technology to improve business process. Provide input into the long-range plans which may include requirements for hardware, software, and technical resources while protecting current investments. Communicate with the business or other technology departments as it relates to these requirements. Act as technical lead for Apache configurations, including Jboss front-end and web servers – both for CFS/SBI apps and for integrations with applications like ForgeRock and SFDC, communications between applications including SOMS, COMS, Suppliers, Finance, security updates and certificates. This position is based in Framingham, MA, however, telecommuting from a home office may be allowed 20% of time.
Required Experience/Skills : Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a directly related field plus four (4) years of experience working with multiple web technologies, microservices, public cloud, and state of the art monitoring tools and technologies. Experience must include:

Linux,Solaris, iOS, Android, or Windows;
Dust,Angular, Nodejs, Springboot, or RxJava;
Nginx,Apache http, Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, ActiveMQ, or Kafta; and
Splunk,New Relic, Zabbic, Nagios, ELK, Big Panda, Puppet, Jenkins, or Service Now.
