Job Title: Software Engineers
Job Duties: Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Provide accurate estimates on level of effort for upcoming work and keep accurate records of progress and completion of work through Jira, an issue tracking system. Collaborate with a variety of teams (design, product, editorial, ad operations) to develop new functionality and support existing stakeholders. Identify and prototype best practices and processes for MySql, Amazon Web Services Redshift databases. Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems.
One (1) year of work experience in web development, in high-volume production environments, using JAVA programming language to support enterprise scale system.
One (1) year of experience working with advertising technologies including Google DoubleClick for Publishers or Google Ad Exchange to understand how to interact with the API, schedule reports, and download large amounts of data.
One (1) year of experience with Amazon Web Services Redshift database to understand database query optimization and how large data sets affect performance.
One (1) year of experience working with ExtJS framework to create flexible and scalable front-end solutions.
One (1) year of experience as a full stack developer, specifically using Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) and Model-View-Controller framework, such as CakePHP, or the equivalent, to stitch together the business logic with the back-end technology.
