About this role

Carrier Fire & Security is looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Digital Product Manager to drive high-priority customer initiatives on Carrier's Cloud and IoT platforms. The focus of the Digital Product Manager is to define, deliver and support the roadmap for critical connected digital solutions globally and work on SaaS recurring revenue models. This role reports to the head of digital transformation for Global Access and will have a great opportunity to showcase their business and technology acumen. Ideal candidate should have had experience in delivering market leading solutions in Industrial IoT space, and managed software product development using Agile methodologies, from ideation to Minimum Viable Product launch and iterative product evolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to drive the full cycle of the SaaS solutions – from ideating and define the solution to go-to-market and operations.

  • Drives the product roadmap and vision to deliver enterprise grade applications & digital services

  • Shepherds highly complex, integrated, and strategic Digital solutions and experience opportunities from idea to ‘product market fit’ through collaboration with all relevant stakeholders and SMEs (Commercial teams, DevOps, Product management, etc.).

  • Own SaaS operations from strategy to day to day execution to deliver unparalleled customer experience across the various channels (Direct & Indirect)

  • Drives, quantifies, and defends Digital solutions and experience investments through technology artifacts, use cases (PoCs) and hypotheses, ranked by customer value.

  • Considerable experience in writing product stories, developing functional designs and wireframes, creating product collateral and proof of concepts.

  • Leads DevOps and stakeholders to envision, define, and translate Digital solutions and experience opportunities (customer “needs” and “wants” into problems, gaps, etc.) into initiatives (i.e., requirements, epics, features) and drive execution.

  • Leads and directs team of scrum masters, program managers, cloud and front-end Web and App developers, QA, either in US, Poland or at India.

  • Consistently provides guidance and mentoring to team members and acts as an escalation point and ensures issues are resolved.

  • Actively manages ambiguity, influences others to bring in “big picture” thinking and drives clarity, solutions, and execution plan among team and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders in driving the product definition, go to market strategy, competitive analysis and revenue analysis.

  • Works closely with technology architects in Fire and Security Products as well as Digital Foundry

  • Maintains and applies expert knowledge of the digital trends, technology, UI/UX, agile implementation practices and an expert understanding of Digital Product Management & Monetization.

  • Be a champion of digital tools and artifacts like Figma, Jira, Miro, Confluence, Aha, and be well versed with agile and scrum methodologies

  • Works with business commercial teams to get voice of the customer and drive connected revenues by monetizing digital services

  • Continuously leverages expert data-driven problem-solving techniques and analytical rigor to understand and report on product and experience performance against KPIs.

  • Sets the standard for preparing compelling presentations, demos to communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience, including senior leadership, and facilitates Digital solution definition, coordinate discovery, lead development, delivery, and validation activities, as well as to mitigate risks and dependencies.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in computer science

  • 10+ years of product management experience.

  • 3 years of experience as a product owner, business analyst and/or technology strategy role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Considerable domain experience developing SaaS monitoring solutions

  • Industry experience within Global security, connected solutions, and Physical and Logical access.

  • Demonstrable experience in playing the role of a product owner with a good appreciation towards Agile methodologies

  • Experience working with Partners in the development of a monetizable solution

  • Strong analytical skills, along with excellent written and oral skills.

  • Additional qualification of MBA will have added advantage.

  • Experience as successful account/business manager, selling to CxO and decision-maker level.

  • Deeper understanding of business models, revenue analysis, and current technology trends.

  • Experience working within Cloud, SaaS and emerging cloud use-cases for web/mobile and enterprise companies.

  • Experience and understanding in the advanced technology areas such as Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, and Internet of Things (IoT).

  • Experience working on enterprise products and delivering solutions with multi-device support.

  • Experience in agile software development. Able to adapt to change and open minded.

  • Product manager expertise for running Enterprise workloads on AWS and enable migration/deployments of legacy applications to cloud; provide appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.

Travel:

You will be required to travel as is determined by the needs of our businesses. This position may require travel to business sites up to 40% of the time.
