How You Will Make an Impact.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will work with other scientists and engineers within Environmental and Processing Monitoring business group. You will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of analytical instrumentation. You will architect the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of electrical systems. The role involves leadership and collaboration with engineers (electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing), technology scientists, project managers, contractors, and suppliers through the product lifecycle.
What will you do?
Implement feasibility verification with scientists and technology development personnel, propose innovative ideas and designs for problem solving and performance improvement.
Develop electronics system/PCBA specifications to meet performance goals and customer requirements, as well as certifying agencies.
Design electronic circuits by investigating system level feasibility and electronic architectures including firmware and hardware development.
Apply modern CAD tools for schematic entry, design simulation, and PCB layout. Bring experience of multilayer sophisticated circuit design to maximize product adaptability and package size constraints.
Collaborate with contractors, prototype vendors, and fabrication facilities to deliver electronic modules
Perform detail verification tests for PCBA, performance, and system
Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work carried out to preserve the intellectual property of the company
Work with project development team to ensure that projects meet schedule, performance specifications and cost targets.
How You Will Get Here.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 10 years of relevant electronic/system design experience. OR, master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 8 years of relevant electronic/system design experience. OR Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 3 years of relevant electronic/system design experience.
Shows talent in design and analytical tools required in role and associated industry standards.
Preferred experience in design for EMC/EMI agency certification standards.
Experience in low noise analog, high speed, and embedded system design.
Hands-on-experience performing electronic bench work and proficiency with industry tools and techniques for test and measurement.
Experience with measurement technology, analytical instrumentation, equipment design and performance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Able to translate marketing requirements into a system architecture and document requirements in module specifications and subsystem work you're doing.
Able to lead product sourcing support required for China based suppliers of electronic sources and board manufacturers.
Able to prioritize complex engineering tasks
Knowledge of applicable industry standards and requirements such as IEC61010, EMC
Expertise using schematic capture and PCB layout software
Able to integrate simulation tools into design work
Basic software programming knowledge to write applications for laboratory testing, debugging, and control of electronics and hardware.
Awareness of IoT and design interactions for cloud connectivities.
