Applied Materials’ Reliability Engineering Department is searching for an Engineer to join our team in spring 2021! Reliability Engineering facilitates Research & Development in designing reliable products. The position will entail the following:
Plan, design, monitor, and analyze system and subsystem level qualifications and experiments.
Identify critical parameters and design best approaches to achieve long-term reliability goals
Develop reliability estimates of complex mechanical systems and present findings to upper management.
Cooperate with other departments and employees in achieving overall goals (Team Player)
Assist others in evaluating alternative configurations to maximize availability and minimize cost
Plan, design, monitor, and independently conduct experiments (DoE) as required
Lead projects to meet system level reliability growth requirements and evaluations.
Thermal Evaluations, Degradation Analysis, RGA, FMECA, DFMEA, RBD
Through reliability and materials research and analyses, develop reliability estimates of complex systems and present findings to management
Acquire the necessary base reliability information from multiple sources
Make decisions with limited data
Preferred Experience and Skills
Masters’ degree in Materials, Reliability Engineering, or similar
GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Certified Reliability Engineer, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt
Experience in Materials Engineering or semiconductor processing
Computer Skills: Reliasoft, JMP, Excel, Python, Creo (CAD)
