Solidus is partnering with Oasis Systems to find individuals that would meet the following:
Systems Engineer: Provide engineering support to the International Programs & Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program office.
Avionics Engineer: Provide systems engineering support to the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) program office.
Fielding Engineer: Provide fielding engineering support to the Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS) Program Office.
Test Engineer: Provide Test Engineering support to the Joint STARS program office.
Network Engineer: Provide Network engineering support to the Force Protection Division; provide technical support required for the sustainment of the Force Protection Division's Integrated Base Defense Security Systems (IBDSS) Effort.
Project Engineer: Provide project engineering support to the Force Protection program office.
Types of Responsibilities Depending on Position:
Provide acquisition engineering and technical expertise for advice/counsel to the Government program office to support technical planning, cost estimating and proposal evaluations.
Interact with system users and development contractors to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
Determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software/system compatibility.
Assist in the implementation of robust engineering and integration processes to address the lifecycle requirements.
Identify and address program technical issues and in the preparation of necessary technical documents and briefings.
Attend Technical Interchange Meetings providing technical evaluations of analyses and trade off activities, assessments of contractor technical efforts, and recommendations to the program office.
Provide engineering support to various IPTs and Working Groups communicating engineering objectives and system level technical inputs.
Attend and participate in Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Request for Proposals (RFP), Design Reviews (PDR & CDR), Specification Reviews (SRRs) for systems.
Participate in special projects, technical meetings, and source selections as required.
Exercises a high degree of originality and sound judgment in formulating, evaluating, and correlating broad engineering/scientific concepts, guiding the analysis of unique problems, and developing new and improved techniques and methods.
Review and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plan/procedures, and technical data packages for the determination of both interim and final hazard classification and compliance with safety criteria, design, or test and /or qualification requirements.
Review and assess contractor submitted documents (e.g., milestone schedules, test reports, cost performance reports, contractor Master Plans, and Integrated Master Schedules) to determine their accuracy and report inconsistencies.
Solve engineering problems (or manage the solution of engineering problems) in the program or functional area to which assigned. Provide technical solutions or workarounds following a thorough analysis of requirements that allow for programmatic and system risk mitigation.
Diagnose complex system problems and develop innovative solutions by discovering and resolving countless third-party “High Priority” software defects during the product integration cycle; hence, limiting the number of problems encountered during customer Developmental Testing.
Collect network topology information, device configurations, and cabling/infrastructure information; evaluate/analyze network designs for compliance with project and cyber security requirements;
Perform on-site cyber security fielding verifications.
Advise program managers on future technologies of IBDSS systems/networks; identify/recommend replacement for equipment obsolescence issues and designing/engineering/testing IBDSS network baselines to meet current/future IBDSS IA/cyber security requirements to including wired and wireless technologies, networking performance both wired and wireless, and system capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 - 7 years of relevant experience, varies by position
Experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs desired
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an IPT environment
May involve limited travel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Candidate must have an active US Secret Security Clearance
Specific Areas of Expertise:
Systems Engineer: Provide systems, hardware and software engineering planning, process and development oversight execution capability to the FMS program office for a trailer-mounted radar, sensor and C2 program. Support real-time hardware applications for complex sensor systems with in-depth understanding of sensor sub-system design.
Avionics Engineer: Assist in the implementation of robust engineering and integration processes to address the needs of the AWACS Program.
Fielding Engineer: Support C2AOS/C2IS modernization program efforts with regards to Agile Core Service (ACS) & net-centric Command & Control application integration/testing/installation. Primary responsibilities include requirements analysis, technology planning, system/software integration, operational fielding and verification/validation of COTS/GOTS products in support of technical execution and maintenance. Support the Program Office by mediating system engineering problem/resolution activities between the Program Management Office and contracted sustainment organization- resulting in improved efficiencies in schedule and technical execution of sustainment activities. Routinely give subject matter expertise on several components of the Air Operations Center systems ranging from C2 client systems to backend server components.
Test Engineer: Assist the Engineering team with conducting and managing the Integrated Test Team (ITT) and Combined Test Force (CTF) for entering into Contractor Testing (CT), Qualification Testing (QT) Operational Testing (OT), Certification Testing (JITC & AFSIT) and V&V; of the software, hardware and fixes forward. Conduct & Manage the Joint Reliability & Maintainability Evaluation Team (JRMET), Deficiency Review Boards (DRB) and Configuration Control Boards (CCB) regarding Test Problem Reports (TPR), Basic Change Requests (BCRs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) required for contract implementation. Test hardware & software for the Government at the manufacturer for Fielding…initiate with the prime contractor to update component and system check out process procedures to ensure all computers were fully functioning prior to fielding. Prepare and control test budget for execution of all testing events required to accomplish the required testing at various government facilities to include contractor, developmental, operational and excursion testing.
Network Engineer: Must be a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or possess an industry equivalent certification. Must have at least nine (9) years of experience in network engineering. Extensive experience with IT with a concentration in networking (routing, switching, firewalls, voice and security technologies) is necessary. Must be able to understand, explain, troubleshoot, and configure networks, network security technologies (VPNs, DMVPN, GRE, IPSec, MACSec/TrustSec). Must be able to analyze/evaluate/design network topologies and device configurations to ensure compliance with written requirements.
Project Engineer: Solve technical problems (or manage the solution of engineering problems) in the project or functional area to which assigned.
