SAIC Project Manager in HANSCOM AFB, Massachusetts

Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Project Manager who can serve as a subject matter expert, in a customer facing position supporting an Air Force client. This candidate will work on site, directly with the customer, at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA and serve as an integral part of diverse and dynamic team supporting a digital transformation effort. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful leader, with excellent communication skills. Other critical talents include establishing key strategic relationships with Government contracting officials, senior military officers, and Government leadership. This candidate must work independently, advocating for SAIC program interests but also identify customer needs and requirements. This opportunity serves as the main liaison between SAIC and the AF Integrated Program Office. The candidate will work with the SAIC Business Relationship Manager (BRM) establishing critical strategic conduits with a variety of Government representatives. This senior project manager opportunity is an essential role to help drive continued program success.

In this role you will:

• Foster strong business relationships with a “customer first” mindset

• Engage with customers often using professional courtesy at all times

• Work with internal departments ensuring client needs are understood and satisfied

• Work with the BRM, identifying potential requirements, handling client complaints, collecting and analyzing data, and improving the overall customer experience

• Build and maintains mutually beneficial relationships

• Coordinate, facilitate and communicate activities among internal teams, other vendors and government teams

• Provide guidance and mentorship to customer leadership on industry best practices and evolving program initiatives

• Serve as conduit between IPO and program management team

• Ability to gain trust of customer leadership

• Communicate project schedule challenges that require client support to resolve

• Brief executive leaders on project schedule with support of deliverable creation as required ensuring successful communication to broader client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, or other IT degree and 10 years IT experience

• Military veteran candidates with military IT operations experience preferred

• Excellent analytical and communication skills with an ability to express complex thoughts/ ideas effectively in individual or group situations to senior officer or Government officials

• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, JIRA, and/or Confluence preferred

• Strong interpersonal, customer relationship management skills and team player

• Familiarity with DoD Acquisition Lifecycle

• Familiarity with ITSM and ITIL frameworks

• Active SECRET security clearance
