Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Apply comprehension of Cybersecurity and privacy analysis and consulting throughout the security assessment and compliance life cycle process. Maintain responsibility for the analysis and finalizing of Cybersecurity and privacy policies, programs, compliance artifacts, or standards supporting government and industry security compliance, systems accreditation, and management, as needed. Analyze the development of the documentation, validation, and accreditation processes necessary to ensure systems meet security and privacy requirements. Assess the effectiveness of an organization’s IT security and privacy training program, including conducting social engineering exercises to ensure training remains consistent with current Cybersecurity and privacy threats and policies and assist with achieving full compliance with all laws and regulations. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with information assurance

-Experience with the DoD Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) or Risk Management Framework (RMF)

-Experience with system and network vulnerability analysis, risk assessment or risk mitigation analysis, security test and evaluation (ST&E), and contingency planning

-Knowledge of security or system auditing tools

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ CE or above or IAM Level II, including CISM, CISSP, or CASP

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Air Force or military organization, culture, and policies

-Ability to stay abreast of internal and external security best practices

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
